Breast Augmentation in Long Beach CA
Women seeking breast enhancement need look no further than the office of Dr. Marcel Daniels, one of the most experienced and respected breast surgeons in Southern California. Whether it is Breast Enlargement (Augmentation), Breast Lift (Mastopexy), Combination Enlargement/Lift (Augmentation Mastopexy), Breast Reduction, Breast Revision, or Breast Reconstruction, Dr. Daniels unique consultation approach makes his patients "educated consumers" who fully understand the pros, cons and trade-offs of the various options open to them.
At your initial consultation, Dr. Daniels will listen carefully to you in order to understand your goals and expectations. After an evaluation of your breasts, Dr. Daniels will help you to select the size, style, shape, and placement of implant that will work best for you. You will be informed about the potential risks and rewards associated with the procedures you are considering, and the differences your specific physiology makes, so that you can be sure your decision is one with which you can be comfortable. Dr. Daniels understands that every patient is unique and deserves an individualized treatment plan.
Breast Augmentation is performed by making an incision in an inconspicuous location to minimize the effects of scars, preparing a pocket in which to place the implant, then inserting the implant and closing the incision. The incision may be periareolar (around the edge of the areola), transaxillary (in the underarm), or inframammary (in the fold where the breast and body meet). Implants consist of a silicone shell and are either filled with silicone gel or saline solution, and are either placed under the chest muscle, or between the chest muscle and breast tissue. Saline-filled implants are filled after they are inserted which means a smaller incision, and that generally means less scarring. Silicone gel-filled implants tend to provide a firmer, more realistic result, but since they must be inserted pre-filled they require a slightly larger incision.
Dr. Daniels performs breast augmentation procedures using general anesthesia administered by board-certified anesthesiologists in a state-of-the-art hospital setting. Because of his advanced surgical technique designed to alleviate trauma, the majority of Dr. Daniels' patients report little to no post-operative pain and are able to return to work in a matter of days.
Breast augmentation is a highly personal procedure. It should be done for yourself and not to appease someone else's desires or to fit any kind of image ideal.
