Breast Lift (Mastopexy) surgery is surgery for breasts that have sagged excessively from pregnancy, weight gain or loss, or decreased skin elasticity. Since this surgery necessitates additional scarring, Dr Daniels only offers it to women who are realistic in their expectations.
Combining an implant and lift procedure, Augmentation Mastopexy, is reserved for those patients whose nipples are too low or who have too much skin and not enough breast tissue to achieve the fullness they desire. In select patients, the additional scars from a lift can be avoided by a variant of a standard augmentation called a Dual Plane Augmentation. Breast Reduction candidates are among the happiest of breast surgery patients as they have exchanged breasts that are too heavy, give them neck and shoulder pain, limit physical activity, and are difficult to fit into bras and clothes for breasts that are lighter with improved shape. Depending upon the amount of weight that is to be removed from the breasts, this surgery may be covered by insurance.
Because of his reputation as a breast specialist, Dr. Daniels is often consulted for Breast Revision surgery. It is Dr. Daniels’ professional opinion that revisional breast surgery is often less predictable than primary surgery and, in some cases, has little or no chance of achieving any meaningful improvements. If after careful and detailed evaluation , Dr. Daniels feels that improvements can be achieved, he will perform surgery on unsatisfactory breast surgery done elsewhere.
Not limiting his practice to only elective breast surgery, Dr. Daniels has considerable experience and expertise in Breast Reconstruction, with both prosthetic (Tissue Expander) and patient-self tissue options (TRAM, Latissimus Flaps). These procedures are usually covered by insurance.
Men embarrassed by excessive chest development, whether caused by abnormal breast tissue growth (Gynecomastia), excess fat deposition (Lipomastia) or a combination of the two will benefit from Male Breast Reduction. Male breast reduction may be achieved with liposuction or with a combination of liposuction and surgical excision of abnormal breast tissue. This surgery is occasionally covered by insurance.
